EDS announce the arrival of the new heavy duty car park vent. Dec 2009
EDS are proud to announce that in collaboration with Air & Fire Control they have developed a special heavy duty car park vent, which can be combined with their range of fire/smoke dampers and pressure relief dampers.
Proposals were drafted following a request from a client to produce a high free area, low cost alternative to the specified manufacturer and after several prototypes and costing alternatives had been submitted, specification for our HDCP vent was approved. Manufacturing should start in the New Year for 45 number vents, with 2 hour fire/smoke dampers mounted to the rear, with an overall dimension of 1750mm wide x 800mm high.
Manufactured from galvanised steel, each vent will be mounted within a specially constructed builders work chamber with secret fixings for access to the damper behind and finished with a powder coated finish to 60 microns.

EDS to promote fabric ducting after agreement reached. Nov 2009
EDS are proud to announce that they have agreed to promote the range of fabric ducting as manufactured by Fabricair who have been manufacturing fabric ducting and its ancillary items in Denmark since 1973 and opened its UK sales office in 2002.
With a huge range of textiles and weaves, fabric ducting is a low cost alternative to traditional sheet metal ductwork and grilles and has the added advantage of providing draught free ventilation which is the main source of most “air conditioning” complaints.
Compared to traditional sheet metal systems, fabric ducting systems can produce significant cost project savings, sometimes being up to 70% cheaper, due to the ease of transportation and installation. Originally produced for the food industry to supply draught free cold air to the occupants below, fabric ducting has developed so much that it can be used in virtually any application and EDS are pleased to be associated with such advanced technology that really does compliment their other range of air movement products.
